Eyam (2)

This is the Boundary Stone, on the path from Eyam to the neighbouring village of Stoney Middleton.

Food would be brought from Stoney Middleton and left here at the parish boundary. The people of Eyam then paid for it by disinfecting coins with vinegar, and leaving them in the holes drilled in the stone.
