Rutland
Water (2)
In very rough terms, Rutland Water is a U-shaped stretch of water, with
the dam at the eastern end. The northern and southern arms are
separated by a peninsula on which sits the village of Upper Hambleton.
This is the southern arm, seen from Normanton and looking towards the
bird and nature reserves at the western end. These include one of the
very few places in England where wild ospreys breed.
