Bee
Orchid (1)
A Bee Orchid, found on a roadside verge in Lincolnshire. (For a closer
look, see the next picture.)
Probably one of the more spectacular British wild flowers, though
actually fairly small and easy to overlook. It's also not quite as rare
as I'd originally thought - and I also discovered that it's been
adopted as the county flower of Bedfordshire.
