Cogglesford
Mill (1)
At one time there were many mills on the River Slea, but Cogglesford
Mill in Sleaford is the only one still operating. It's open to the
public, and on working days the mill can be seen in action. The present
building dates from around 1750, though milling has taken place on this
site for over 1000 years. The ford which gives it its name was an
ancient Roman river crossing.
