Lyme Park (9)

It's not the best of pictures, but it gives an idea of how far the view from Lyme Park extends (and what a telephoto setting and a bit of digital trickery is capable of).

Prominent on the right are the chimneys of Winnington chemical works, near Northwich, about 20 miles away, while the Clwydian Hills of North Wales form a backdrop at a distance of about 50 miles.

This view includes the two highest points in the range: Moel Famau (555m; 1821 feet) behind the chemical works, and to the left, Foel Fenlli (511m; 1677 feet) with a veil of cloud (or perhaps snow?).
