Bank Vole

We (or rather, Pauline) spotted this when we were out walking in Beacon Hill Country Park, Leicestershire. I was looking out for birds up in the trees, and completely missed this little thing running across the path in front of us. Fortunately we managed a couple of photos, and might have had more if the camera batteries hadn't suddenly died.

After comparing it with various guides and pictures, we're pretty sure of the identification: the size, colour and habitat all seem to match - but as always, if anyone knows any better, just get in touch.
